History of St. Chads Hotel

St. Chads Hotel was built way back in 1893, as part of St. Chads Terrace, one year before the opening of the world-famous Blackpool Tower. The owners have enlarged the hotel considerably to 90 rooms by buying up adjacent properties on the terrace.

In 1893…

  • Blackpool Tower was still under construction
  • The Victoria Pier (now the South Pier) opened
  • Queen Victoria reigned
  • Prince George, The Duke of York, married Princess Mary of Teck
